Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account on ManaGate or accessing any part of the platform at managate.app or dashboard.managate.app (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ManaGate ("we", "us", "our"), an independent project operated from Brazil.

2. Description of the Service

ManaGate is a web application that provides Magic: The Gathering players with tools for deck building, collection management, card price tracking, AI-assisted deck generation and analysis, a rules chatbot, a card camera scanner, and community deck browsing.

The Service is provided as-is. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time. We will communicate material changes through the Changelog at managate.app/changelog.

3. Account registration and security

To access most features you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your password and not share your account credentials.
• Notify us immediately at hello@managate.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users between 13 and 18 should have parental consent in accordance with local law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free plan and Pro subscription

4.1 Free plan

The Free plan is available at no charge, indefinitely. It includes up to 1,000 collection cards, up to 5 saved decks, live price synchronization, community deck browsing, and import/export tools. No credit card is required for the Free plan.

4.2 ManaGate Pro

ManaGate Pro is a paid monthly subscription at USD $7.90/month. Pro subscribers receive unlimited cards and decks, 100 AI credits per month (unused credits roll over), unlimited rules chatbot, unlimited card scanner, and unlimited collection organization.

4.3 AI credits

One AI credit is consumed per heavy AI operation (full deck generation, matchup simulation). The rules chatbot, card scanner, and collection organizer are unlimited and do not consume credits. Credits do not expire while your Pro subscription is active and roll over month to month.

4.4 Billing and renewal

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then. No refunds are issued for partial months.

4.5 Price changes

We may change the subscription price with at least 30 days’ notice by email or in-app notification. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, you accept the new price.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including Brazilian federal law and the LGPD.
• Upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code, viruses, or harmful software.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service’s systems or another user’s account.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the Service without written permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service for commercial resale or redistribution of our AI-generated outputs in bulk without our permission.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through community deck comments or shared content.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 ManaGate

All software, design, text, graphics, and other content comprising the ManaGate platform (excluding user-generated content and third-party card data) are owned by ManaGate or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.

6.2 Your content

You retain full ownership of the deck lists, collection data, and notes you create. By sharing a deck publicly through the community feature, you grant ManaGate a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute that deck within the platform. You can withdraw this license by unpublishing or deleting the deck.

6.3 Magic: The Gathering

Magic: The Gathering card names, artwork, and game rules are the intellectual property of Wizards of the Coast LLC. ManaGate is an independent, fan-made project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Card data is used for informational and personal use purposes consistent with Wizards of the Coast’s Fan Content Policy.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

7.1 No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure.

7.2 Card prices

Price data is provided for informational purposes only and is sourced from third-party marketplaces. Prices may be delayed, inaccurate, or not reflect actual transaction prices. ManaGate is not responsible for financial decisions made based on price information displayed in the Service.

7.3 AI outputs

AI-generated deck lists, analysis, and rules interpretations are provided for convenience and may contain errors. Always verify format legality and rules rulings through official sources (Wizards of the Coast, the Comprehensive Rules, certified judges). ManaGate is not responsible for tournament disqualifications or other consequences arising from reliance on AI outputs.

7.4 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ManaGate’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or BRL 100 for Free plan users). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Brazilian consumer protection law (Código de Defesa do Consumidor, Law 8,078/1990) or other mandatory local law.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time from account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you materially breach these Terms, or with reasonable notice for any other reason.

On termination: your deck and collection data will be available for export for 30 days, then permanently deleted. Pro subscriptions are cancelled and no further charges are made.

9. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of Brazil, specifically the courts of the state where ManaGate’s operator is domiciled, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at hello@managate.app so we can attempt to resolve the issue amicably.

For EU consumers: mandatory consumer protection rights under the law of your country of residence are not affected by the choice of Brazilian law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you by email or prominent in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.
